What Aviation Detailing Involves

1. Exterior Cleaning & Polishing

   • Removing bug splatter, carbon exhaust stains, oil, and hydraulic fluid.

   • Polishing aluminium or composite surfaces to reduce drag and protect finishes.

   • Cleaning and treating windscreens/canopies without causing optical distortion.

   • Applying protective coatings (ceramic, polymer sealants) to paint and metal to reduce corrosion and make future cleaning easier.

2. Interior Detailing

   • Deep cleaning leather, fabric, carpet, and panels.

   • Disinfecting tray tables, handles, vents, and high-touch areas (important for passenger safety).

   • Conditioning leather to prevent drying and cracking at altitude.

   • Stain and odour removal.

3. Brightwork Polishing

   • Highly polished aluminium or stainless steel components (leading edges, engine inlets, exhaust surrounds).

   • Needs specialist tools and compounds to achieve a mirror finish without scratching.

4. Safety-Critical Areas

   • Using only aviation-approved cleaning products — certain chemicals can damage composite materials, paint, or even interfere with avionics.

   • Avoiding any residue that could affect aerodynamics or moving parts.

   • Being careful around sensors, pitot tubes, and static ports (blocking these could be dangerous).

5. Hangar & On-Site Service

   • Often done in a hangar for full detailing, but can also be mobile for ramp cleaning between flights.

Key Differences From Car Detailing

• Regulations & Compliance — Airports often require special passes, background checks, and training to work airside.

• Chemical Restrictions — Must use products approved for aviation surfaces (many automotive products are unsuitable).

• Surface Size & Height — Planes are huge and often require access equipment (ladders, lifts, scaffolding).

• Cost & Pricing — Jobs can run into thousands due to size, complexity, and insurance requirements.

• Customer Base — Private jet owners, charter companies, corporate fleets, airlines, and even military aircraft.

Why It’s Lucrative

• High-ticket services (£1,000–£15,000+ per job depending on aircraft size).

• Less competition compared to car detailing.

• Clients are often less price-sensitive and care more about quality, reliability, and safety compliance.

• Strong potential for ongoing contracts (fleet maintenance).

If Ceramic Coatings or Brightwork Restoration Are Included

• Add 1–2 full days for coating cure time or heavy metal polishing.

• Brightwork alone on a large jet’s leading edges can take 8–12 hours per side.

Why so long?
Aircraft have far more surface area than cars, need specialist access equipment, and have to meet safety regulations (no water getting in the wrong places, approved chemicals only, extra care around sensors).

We offer three valet packages. Bronze, Silver and Gold. Our Bronze and Silver packages to do not include stain removal however if you’d like these to be removed you can add them on to your package either before we arrive or when we are there. 

Yes, our services are specifically by appointment only. 

If you would just like a one off valet you will have to pay a deposit before we come to secure the booking. You can then pay the rest when the job is complete. For our subscription based services we request you pay via direct debit which will be paid on the 1st of every month. 

Even though we would be sad to see you go, you can of course cancel. Our policy requires a 30 day cancellation notice which can be done via emailing us or by calling us.
